Description

SONOBIO Handheld Ultrasonic Homogenizer

Sino Sonics (SONOBIO) specializes in ultrasonic technology and ultrasonic homogenizers, which are used for homogenizing, deagglomerating, emulsifying, suspending, accelerating chemical reactions and the disruption of cells, bacteria, fungi or spores.
In ultrasonic homogenisation, several components (liquid-liquid, liquid-solid) are finely mixed together. This method has established itself in the laboratory for decades in addition to the well-known and proven ultrasonic bath.

  • Advantage and Application:
  • Handheld Portable Ultrasonic Homogenizer Sonicator with integrated design of the probe and the host; the horn is made of titanium alloy material, which has the characteristics of high strength, high sound velocity, good corrosion resistance and high heat resistance, thereby prolonging the useful life of the instrument. The circuit of the product is made by SMD technology, with automatic frequency tracking, automatic amplitude controlstable load, high electro-acoustic conversion efficiency, and over-temperature protection. It can control the ultrasound manually, or fixed with a shelf.
  • Operation & Attention! Step One – Connecting the aviation connector, please pay attention to the connection direction-there is a small groove on it. Do not clamp it forcefully, otherwise it will damage the aviation connector and cause the machine to be unusable.
  • Step Two – Connect the power supply. When starting, make sure to connect the power supply correctly (make sure the power indicator light is on).If the power supply is defactive, we will help you replace it.
  • Step Three – Adjust input voltage to 12V to debug for the first time use. Do not use high power when processing small-volume samples. When adjusting the input voltage, do not turn it on to the maximum value directly. The power is DC 12V-24V. 20V/22V input is sufficient. Please select the appropriate input voltage to change the output energy.
  • Step Four – Press the switch button to start. When Processing the sample, which temperature will rise or with high viscosity. It is recommended that the continuous working time should not exceed 20 mins. Rest for 3-5 minutes after working continuously for 20 mins, or replace the sample, or pay attention to the temperature of the sample, Otherwise, the machine will fail or automatic protection. the sample such as oil, alcohol, ethyl acetate, organic solvent, inorganic solvent, resin, viscosity of the sample close to edible oil

Working Principle:

The ultrasonic electronic generator transforms AC line power to a 20 ~ 40KHz signal that drives a piezoelectric convertor/transducer. This electrical signal is converted by the transducer to a mechanical vibration due to the characteristics of the internal piezoelectric crystals. The vibration is amplified and transmitted down the length of the horn/probe where the tip longitudinally expands and contracts. The distance the tip travels is dependent on the amplitude selected by the user through the amplitude control knob. In liquid, the rapid vibration of the tip causes cavitation, the formation and violent collapse of microscopic bubbles. The collapse of thousands of cavitation bubbles, releases tremendous energy in the cavitation field. Objects and surfaces within the cavitation field are “processed”. The probe tip diameter dictates the amount of sample that can be effectively processed. Smaller tip diameters (Microtip probes) deliver high intensity sonication but the energy is focused within a small & concentrated area. (0.5ml to 30 ml) Larger tip diameters can process larger volumes, up to 5 liter vessel.

Working Application:

High shear forces created by ultrasonic cavitation/ vibration have the ability to break up particle agglomerates and result in smaller and more uniform particles sizes. The stable and homogenous suspensions produced by ultrasonics are widely used in many industries today. Probe sonication is highly effective for processing nanomaterials (carbon nanotubes, graphene, inks, metal oxides, etc.) and Sonicators have become the industry standard for:

Nanoparticle Dispersion; Composite material preparation
DNA and Chromatin Shearing;
Cell lysis, tissue disruption; Cell Lysis-breaking extraction and smashing
Cannabis extracts (CBD, THC); Herbal Medicine and phytoextraction
Protein Purification
Homogenizing /Extraction of Soil Organic Matter
Sonication is effective for many other applications including:
Degassing / Liposomes / Crystallization / Emulsification / Extraction
